Visitation plays an integral role in the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates. This means of communication allows loved ones, family and friends to rekindle ties and provide social support for the reintegration of inmates into the community. The Barbados Prison Service recognizes the importance of visitation and encourages families and friends to visit inmates once a visit has been sent to them.
